Some may say that an artist's job is to capture abstract emotions and turn them into concrete works of art we can all grasp. Luciana did that exactly on her new song 'Solus Ipse'.
The Australia based singer/ composer started her career creating her own version of popular songs (covers) on YouTube. Her unique and soothing voice has attracted over 2.7million subscribers from all around the globe. Last Year, Luciana Zogbi has started releasing her own original music that reflects her own philosophy, style and extensive background.
The track's name 'Solus Ipse' is defined as 'Alone-self' where it is the philosophical idea that only one's mind can be sure to exist. Luciana elaborated that "We are all alone inside our minds, yet we desperately seek to connect and share the universe within each and everyone of us through rudimentary tools such as language. What would the world be like if we had telepathy? " Check it out below:
While the song's lyrics talk about transcending mental barriers, the overall concept and productions of 'Solus Ipse' aims to transcend geographical barriers by picking sounds from around the globe and blending them together. The song itself carries a mixture of influences and cultures: from Lithuanian cellos to a Middle East derbake, a wide-range of instruments coming together to celebrate the unifying power of music.
