Drawing inspiration from her diverse multicultural background, Rïa Mehta is a groundbreaking producer that intertwines elements of melodic techno and ethnic deep house. Even though she only launched her career in 2020, Mehta has already received support from the likes of BLOND:ISH, Gorgon City, and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Her psychedelic hit single “Sacré” was played by each of these renowned artists.
A gifted DJ as well, Mehta has performed alongside prominent artists, such as Monkey Safari, Dosem, and many more. Her captivating stage presence has resulted in memorable sets across the world, in Berlin, Sweden, NYC, San Francisco, and other music hubs. To add to her revered achievements, Mehta also played multiple times on the popular platform of Desert Hearts TV.
Continuing to etch her name in EDM history, Mehta returns with her brand new EP, “Bohemia”. This masterpiece is a collaborative project with fellow producer Sean Ae and esteemed vocalist Cathy Rocher, who delivers inspiriting vocals on “Bohemia”. Cathay’s lyrics are accompanied by an invigorating bassline that transports its listeners to an alternate dimension.
Speaking on the concept behind the EP, Mehta shares, “‘Bohemia’ and ‘Sol’ were inspired by sunset vibes at the beach. The lead track has sensual vocals from my dear friend Cathy, and ‘Sol’ has a mellow almost uplifting percussion to it which we felt made for a strong EP together.” The combination of the two tracks forges a spellbinding balance of deep house, putting Mehta’s innovative sound design on display.
