Jodie Nicholson Shows Off Beautiful Single 'You Wanted This' from Upcoming Album 'Safe Hands'

Acclaimed North East songwriter and producer Jodie Nicholson is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated album 'Safe Hands' dropping on May 10th, 2024. But before the big day arrives, she's treating fans to a taste of what's to come with her lead single 'You Wanted This.

'You Wanted This' kicks off the album with a bang, diving into the rollercoaster ride of emotions that come with being a musician. With its infectious melody and pulsing keys, the track takes listeners on a journey through Nicholson's love-hate relationship with music, culminating in a euphoric blend of synths and vocals that'll leave you craving more.

Drawing inspiration from her teenage years listening to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, 'You Wanted This' pays homage to Nicholson's musical roots while showcasing her evolution as a producer. This track marks a turning point in her career, empowering her to take the reins and self-produce her latest record with confidence and flair.

With support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, and BBC Introducing, as well as nods from Atwood, Earmilk, and Apple Music, Nicholson's comeback single 'Another Frequency' set the stage for an exhilarating new chapter in her career. Now, with 'You Wanted This' leading the charge, there's no doubt that 'Safe Hands' will be a great kick off to the album soon to be revealed.
