EDM is one of the fastest-growing sectors in today's music industry. Within the electronic music space, there are a few genres that stand out for their rapid expansion in recent years. Leading the charge is the realm of tech house, centered around innovative pioneers like Sherm.
Based out of Chicago, Sherm has gained a substantial following for his funky style of house music. Now, he has linked up with fellow artist Rafael Manga on their new two-track EP, Can't Stop, released on the rising label of Hood Politics. The EPs title single is a rollercoaster ride of entrancing vocals and a percussive bassline. This techy anthem also features high-energy buildups and a drop that will make any crowd break out in shuffle.
"HA-TATA" is the second half of the EP and is a solo original from Rafael. Fueled by crisp snares and infectious hip-hop lyrics, the song is destined for the dance floor. Together, both tracks make Can't Stop a solid representation of the direction that tech house is heading in. Keep an eye out for Rafael and Sherm as they continue to trail-blaze for upcoming house DJs.
